THE LOST STUDIO

For the past 17 years, The Lost Studio has thrived as a teaching theatre and one of L.A.'s leading acting schools.  Award-winning director CINDA JACKSON offers conservatory style intensive training for actors, writers and directors. It is also home to the renowned classical children's theatre ensemble Les Enfants Magiques.  Ms. Jackson co-founded Circus Minimus Interdisciplinary Workshop with playwright John Steppling and actor/playwright Mick Collins.  This group fostered the talents of many of L.A.'s finest contemporary playwrights.

In November, 2000, Artistic Director Cinda Jackson launched The Lost Studio Pinter Project, an ongoing series of plays by Harold Pinter.  In an exploration of the body of Pinter's work, the series began with Night School, followed by A Night Out, and Victoria Station. John Pleshette directed The Caretaker 2002.

That same year Harold Pinter's good friend, acclaimed and celebrated playwright and author Donald Freed contacted Cinda Jackson.  An alliance was formed and Mr. Freed joined the Studio as artist-in-residence and Master Teacher. In 2006, Wendy Phillips moved her acting school to the Lost Studio. Under the direction of Scott Paulin, Wendy starred in a highly-successful revival of Horton Foote’s A Road to Home, followed by this season’s evening of one-acts, Harrison, Texas.
